Bourbon Pecan Apple Crumble

Monday Mornings always have me dreaming of needing a second Sunday.. you know, one with a great late lie in, waking up to the smell of coffee & the idea of creating a delicious dish with Nola Granola.

Today I'm featuring a super sweet & easy recipe I thought up prior to Thanksgiving when I was getting ecstatic about the holiday season: The Bourbon Pecan Apple Crisp

This recipe can be easily made for a large crowd or for an individual indulgent sess, this is for one serving:

  • Slice an apple, I used Granny Smith - the tartness will offset & compliment the sweetness of the recipe & Bourbon Pecan Granola
  • Toss slices into a mixture of cinnamon & sugar, make sure every piece is covered
  • Grease your dish with butter
  • Fill dish with the sliced apples, top with your favorite Nola Granola.. here I use Bourbon Pecan, however, the Salted Caramel would be amazing as well Layer your fav Nola Granola on top of the apple mixture
  • Next comes for the crumble: 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, dash of salt, 1/4 cup unsalted butter, diced into small chunks
  • Combine crumble ingredients until well blended/have small crumbles
  • Layer on top of Apples & Granolas
  • Add additional Bourbon Pecan Granola to the edges and on top of the crumble; with the heat of the oven, this outer layer of granola will caramelize even more
  • Pop into the oven at 350 Degrees for about 20-30 minutes. Keep checking the oven until the crumble is browned & set
  • Remove, let sit for about 5 minutes since it'll be extremely hot & tempting to dive right in
  • Best served with ice cream and even more Bourbon Pecan drizzled on top
